EMN Annual Conference - BUCHAREST 2024

The EMN Annual Conference is the highest profile event on financial inclusion and microfinance in Europe. Organised every year since 2004, it is a meeting of minds and ideas, and the perfect opportunity for industry experts to network, exchange experiences, learn, and connect with representatives and stakeholders from the sector, and even to lay the groundwork for successful partnerships going forward. This year, EMN, in partnership with the Romanian Microfinance Association (RMFA), is organising its Annual Conference in Bucharest on 20-21 June 2024 at the InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest. As usual, the conference will be preceded by a series of activities dedicated to EMN MEMBERS ONLY, including the EMN General Assembly, on 19 June at the Marmorosh Bucharest.

Under the slogan 'Cultivating Futures - Nurturing entrepreneurs through microfinance', the conference will address several crucial topics in microfinance, focusing on youth and women entrepreneurship, sustainable agriculture and the financial health and resilience of entrepreneurs facing crisis. The case of Romania will be highlighted as our host and the centre of a vibrant sector to see what lessons can be transposed to other countries and what remains to be done.

EMN will keep a heavy focus on microentrepreneurs, who will play a key role throughout the different sessions.
